Children’s Services
Child Welfare Case Management:
Case management services are available to coordinate services that support families, prevent abuse or neglect, and prevent the need for out-of-home placement of children. Referral for services can be made by a parent/guardian or community professional.
To make a referral, please call Big Stone County Family Services between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, at (320) 839-2555.
Parent Support Outreach Program:
The Parent Support Outreach Program (PSOP) provides short term help to parents in order help access resources that support parenting and family stability. The program focuses on family strengths and needs, working with parents to identify what will enhance the lives of their children and help make their families stronger. Funding from the Department of Human Services allows Big Stone County Family Services to work creatively with the family to address safety, housing, transportation, educational and therapeutic needs. Parenting is challenging under the best circumstances; this program allows workers to partner with families on a voluntary basis.
To make a referral, please call Big Stone County Family Services between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, at (320) 839-2555.
