Big Stone County Family Services Child Care Provider Grant
To address the critical shortage of childcare in Big Stone County, grant monies are being offered to new childcare providers. The grant program will assist Family Child Care providers and Child Care Centers who are soon-to-be licensed with expenses related to purchasing new items, making improvements that are required to meet licensing standards, or are critical to the start-up or continued operation of their business. Applications for the 2024 grant period can be made from January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2024.

Ortonville Child Care New Provider Grant
The Ortonville Economic Development Authority recently received a grant from First Children’s Finance to support the creation of new childcare slots in Ortonville. The program will work with soon-to-be licensed providers in purchasing items or making improvements that are required by licensing or are critical to the start-up of the business.
